

Zoran M. Mata

Born in former Yugoslavia (now Serbia) Zoran M. Mata studied (1975) at the Modern Art Academy in Sarajevo, focusing in drawing and painting, and specializing (1981-1983) in reconstruction, restauration, and protection of monuments, churches, paintings, icons, and figures of antique art.
By 1978-1983 he founded and organized the Cultural Center of the City of Nis, Yugoslavia, for five years; a time where he also worked as a professional scenographer at the National Theatre. Later on, he became a professor at the Sarajevo Academy of Drawing and Painting.
He was involved with 70 groups of artists, presented 36 collective exhibitions and nine multidisciplinary performances. He worked for two years at the Salvador Dali museum in Figueras, Spain and became one of the five students taken by the artist.
As a writer, he has published several texts of poetry for which he was awarded in Osaka, Japan; Italy, Hungary, and Turquey. In addittion, he was Yogananda´s disciple. As a painter, he masters over 100 techniques and developed mixed techniques by taking 3 years of. research, in which he experimented with spirituality based in Budhist Zen.
Along the way, he has has teached more than 3,000 students across the world.
